Critical Role is a popular actual play show where “a bunch of nerdy voice actors sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons.” The impetus for this project was a joke by the cast that they were designing a theme park, and I decided to run with the idea and actually create a conceptual plan. I began by brainstorming themes and locations that appear, as well as ideas for attractions. I then began a lengthy process of visual ideation, with the goal of creating a stylized map of the whole park.
